It’s why Lesly always fights for better working conditions, opportunities, and education for our community.Today, Lesly advocates for workers so they can receive better working conditions&nbsp;and earn higher wages. She has fought for school bus drivers, custodians, instructional assistants, teachers, social workers, school psychologists, and hospital workers to be treated with the dignity and respect we all deserve in the workplace.Lesly is committed to using her experiences as a working mom of four and a labor representative to build a stronger economy that helps families get ahead. She is running for state representative to bring down costs for families and protect workers' rights, expand access to affordable housing, solve our homelessness and mental health crisis, fully fund our public schools, make sure all communities have clean drinking water, and defend women's rights to make their own private medical decisions.

As a single mother who sent her 4 children to Woodburn public schools, the safety of our schools and neighborhoods is a top priority for Lesly. Lesly will:<ul><li>Fund our public safety departments.</li><li>Fight to expand mental/behavioral health services in our communities and across Oregon.</li><li>Bring community members and local officials together to ensure we are investing resources in ways that make our neighborhoods safer and get people the help they need.</li></ul>
